Additional information regarding Charles Stein:

----------
Hi Rebecca, I tried to respond to the "board" but that message failed. I hope the message to the genweb site took and maybe you received the CC I sent to you. I think we've been around the Charles Stein situation once before. However .... The CHARLES STEIN marker in the Blue Grass Cemetery shows Charles' wife as AUGUSTA. Obviously he was married twice, and I think we found that once before for a Stein researcher -- maybe the same one. Anyway, the STEIN's buried in Blue Grass are Charles, born June 27, 1819, died Sep 20, 1899 and AUGUSTA, born Aug 28, 1821 and died Sept 8, 1852. I mowed in Section 1 last Friday and took special note of the marker. It is huge, sitting on the front edge of the cemetery in the far east section.

Have a great "rest of July". I can't believe how fast this year has been flying by!!!

SUBJECT -- CHARLES STEIN

My husband and I have been the caretakers of the Blue Grass Cemetery for the past 19 years -- this will probably be our last year. My husband is also the Secretary/Treasurer of the Blue Grass Cemetery Association and the official records are in our possession. Last Friday, as I mowed in Section 1, I took special note of the large STEIN grave marker.

The marker reads:
Charles F. Stein
Born June 27, 1819
Died Sept 20, 1899

Augusta Stein
Born Aug 28, 1821
Died Sept 8, 1852

There is no record of an Eliza (or Elizabeth) Stein buried in Blue Grass, even though her obit might have said she was buried here. The marker in Mt. Hope is probably correct for her burial.
