A lovely character, the influence of whose life will be a living memorial of her in the hearts of her friends, departed this life Thursday noon. She was sitting at her desk writing Christmas greetings to her friends when she was stricken with apoplexy. She lived until the following noon. Her health had been impaired by kidney trouble and heart disease for several years and during the past year her friends realized that she was failing, though she was able usually to be about her home. She was greatly beloved by all who knew her because of her kindly heart and manner. Her life was spent in unselfish deeds for her family and friends.

Her family consisted of her husband, one son Frank and two daughters Alice and Annie. One sad condition at the time of the mother's death was the absence of the son with his wife and son at Kingfisher, Okla., where they had lately gone to spend the winter because of the health of Mrs. Frank Foster. The son arrived home for the funeral, which was conducted, by the pastor of the deceased at the U. P. church, where she had faithfully performed her duties as a member for more than twenty-five years.

She had been a resident of this place forty-three years, living nearly all of this time at the beautiful farm home west of Goldfield, where she expressed to all who were in the home as inmates or guests the true spirit of a mother and homemaker. –Goldfield
