A group of neighbors, friends and faculty members gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Black last Saturday to extend sympathy in their bereavement.

Little Beverly Jean arrived in the depth of night last Wednesday, tarried but a moment and then took the wings of morning and soared away into a sunnier world.

Dr. Hiller and Mr. Black together with Mr. Black’s father took the little casket to the family plot at Goldfield, Iowa.

Mrs. Black is much improved at this writing and hopes to be back at her household duties soon.

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Black of Newell, Iowa, mourn the death of their infant daughter, Beverly Jean. The baby was born last Wednesday and died a short time afterwards.

Funeral services were held Saturday, and burial was in the Goldfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Black is the former Amy Ransford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ransford of this city.
