Elizabeth "Betty" (Lennon) Hamilton formerly of Sioux City died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at Hospice in Washington D.C.

Burial will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery alongside her husband.

Mrs. Hamilton was the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Sartori) Lennon. She was known for her work with the Sioux City Tribune as the society editor from 1938 to 1941. She married Moris Hamilton on Jan. 2, 1942.

She is survived by six daughters; two sons; and two brothers, Charles Lennon of Tucson, Ariz., and Fred Lennon of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Virginia Dealy.
