Louis J. Reddick, 91, died Monday, Dec. 22, at the Keokuk Convalescent Center.

He was born Nov. 4, 1895, in Wapello, Iowa, the son of Andrew Jackson and Laura Bradley Reddick. He married Charlotte Fellows of Keosauqua on July 17, 1940.

He was a veteran of World War I, a farmer, auctioneer, saloon keeper, sold insurance and feed and worked for the Van Buren County Register. He had been a resident of Keokuk for 11 years.

Survivors include his wife; son Louis Andrew and grandson Phillip Jackson, both of Macomb, Ill; sisters Ruth Willett of Centralia, Mo., Laura Loeffler of Keosauqua, Mae Fiola of Camp Hill, Pa.; brothers Leslie of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Howard of Moscow Mills, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and an infant sister.

Graveside services were held at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m. Friday.

Louis Jackson Reddick

Louis Jackson Reddick, 91, 111 S. 2nd St., died Monday at the Keokuk Convalescent Centr where he had been a patient for the past two years.

He was born Nov. 14, 1895 in Wapello, Iowa, a son of Andrew and Laura Bradley Reddick. He married Charlotte Fellows on July 17, 1940 in Lancaster, Mo.

He was widely known in the area as an auctioneer, retiring in 1973. He was an active member of Jehovah Witness, American Legion, Masonic Lodge and served in the Army during World War I.

He was survived by his wife, a son, Louis Andrew of Macomb; three brothers, Leslie, of Macomb, Howard of Cedar Rapids and Howard of Moscow Hills, Mo.; three sisters, Mae Fiala of Kemp Hill, Penn., Ruth Willet of Centralia, Mo. and Laura Loeffler of Keosauqua, Iowa and one grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm. Dec. 26 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are being handled by Burlington Funeral Home, Burlington, Iowa.
