FRANK M. COX, JR.

Frank M. Cox, Jr., 48, Topeka, Kan., formerly of St. Paul, died Saturday, July 4, 1981 at Veterans Administration hospital at Topeka, Kans.

He was born Nov. 6, 1932, at Springfield, Neb. He was a veteran of the Korean War.

On April 30, 1955, he married Laverne Merschman, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Randy, West Point, and Russell and R.D., both of St. Paul; a daughter, Rhonda Cox, West Point; his mother Mrs. Veda Lanz Cox Anderson, Birmingham; and three sisters, Marjorie Barns, Danville, Veda Maxine King, Milton and Donna Hornberg, Keosauqua.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Cox.

Funeral services were at noon Tuesday at St. James Catholic church, St. Paul. The Rev. Gerald Stouvenel officiated. Burial was in St. James cemetery, St. Paul.

The Burch Funeral Home of Birmingham were in charge of the arrangements.
