Eugene R. Williams

Eugene R. Williams, son of Archibald and Amelia Randall Williams, was born August 1, 1916 at Mt. Zion and departed this life Saturday July 28, 1973 at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids at the age of 56.

On August 6, 1938, he was married to Maxine Graham. They lived at Keosauqua and Agency and moved to Cedar Rapids in 1955. Mrs. Williams passed away May 24 of this year. A sister Mrs. hazel Varvel also preceded him in death. Remaining to cherish his memory are two brothers, Charles of Riviera, Arizona and Joe of Burlington, three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Jamison of Burlington, Mrs. Jennie Teeter and Mrs. Florence Sellers both of Ottumwa, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July31, 1973 at 1:30 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. John Cornish of the United Methodist Church officiating. Pall bearers were Gerald Sampson, Robert Kreiss, Donald Campbell, Leonard Wolfe, Roy Jamison and Clyde Rugg. Interment was in the Forbes Cemetery north of Keosauqua.
