Arnold service

MILTON - The service for Mrs. Hazel Arnold, 79, who died Friday, was Monday, 2 p.m. at the Milton United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dale Church. Burial was in Miller's Chapel Cemetery, northeast of Keosauqua.

Wellborn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born March 13, 1894, near Mount Zion, to H. Craig and Bertha DeHart Miller. A 1913 graduate of Keosauqua High School she attended college in Ames and taught in Van Buren County rural schools. She was an active member of the Milton United Methodist Church and Sunday school and was a member of Chapter AD, P.E.O.

On Jan. 5, 1918, she married John B. Arnold in Des Moines. Surviving are her widower; two sons, Verle of Bloomfield, and Dr. D.D. Arnold of Mason City; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Cecile Barker, and one brother, Donald Miller, both of Keosauqua.

She was preceded in death by one sister.
