Matilda Blanche Tade

Matilda Blanche Tade was born December 30, 1882, in Marion County, Iowa. She passed away on October 27, 1972, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Augspurger at Pulaski.

She was the daughter of Horace Allen and Mary Blaine Amsberry, the youngest of twelve children, all of whom preceded her in death.

On February 26, 1902, she was married to Ewing Orville Tade in the Amsberry home. To this union were born six children, two of whom died in infancy. Mrs. Tade's husband died in 1936 and one daughter, Lorna Augspurger, passed away in 1940.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Thiede of Ft. Madison, Iowa; Frances Smith of Helen, Missouri, and Lois Augspurger of Pulaski, Iowa; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as many friends. She was a member of the Milton W.S.C.S. and the United Methodist Church of Milton.

Funeral services were conducted in Milton United Methodist Church on Sunday, October 29, 1972, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Dale Church officiating under the direction of the Wellborn Funeral Home.

Mrs. Carl Miller accompanied Mrs. Jimmy Wilson on the organ as Mrs. Wilson sang two numbers - "Tis so sweet to trust Jesus" and "Precious Lord, Take My Hand".

The pall bearers were Allan Smith, Dick Smith, Stanley Miller, James Palko, John Augspurger, Verlin Augspurger, and Merlin Anstrom.

Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery of Milton.
