George B. Page

George B. Page, 84, of Bonaparte died at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1 in the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, after a lengthy illness.

He was born Jan. 28, 1888 at Bonaparte, the son of Wm. H. and Josephine Sturdivant Page. On Nov. 3, 1913 he was married to Gladys Richardson at Farmington. She survives.

He was a retired farmer and spent his entire life in the Bonaparte area. He was a member of The Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star, all of Bonaparte.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Corinne Thompson of Keokuk; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. he was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Those from out of town attending the funeral service were Mrs. Virgil Frosch, Beaver Dam, Wisc.; Mrs. Thomas Gutting and Mrs. Richard Encion, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Riley, Mrs. Wayne Walrath, Mrs. Henry White, Mrs. Evelyn Williams, Marguerite Touhey, Ann Romes, Danny Vogt, Keokuk; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dossett, Wapello; Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Richardson, Burlington; Mr. Jim Page and Mr. Floyd Page, Ft. Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gutting, Kahoka, Mo.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3 at the Bonaparte Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ed Maus officiating. Burial was in the Bonaparte cemetery.
