Earl F. Warning, age 77, of Cantril, Iowa, died Friday, Dec. 10, 1971, at 3:12 p.m., at the Davis County Hospital. He has been ill for the last three and a half years. He fell asleep peacefully on this earth to awake with his Lord to live forever.

He was born Dec. 21, 1893, in Cantril, the elder son of Fred Warning and Linda Sterrett Warning. He was a retired farmer and resided in Cantril the majority of his life.

He was married to Winnie A. Fisher in October, 1923. To this union was born one son.

Survivors are: His wife, Winnie; one son, Richard Earl Warning and wife Grace of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one foster daughter, Patsy, one sister, Pearl Robinson of Cantril, Iowa. Preceded him in death: His father, Fred Warning and mother, Linda Sterrett Warning; one brother, Ray Warning.

He was a member of the Cantril Christian Church, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a veteran of World War I, barrack 1553, and served overseas.

The spirit which dominated his whole life was that of ever rendering service where it was needed, and love for all with whom he came in contact. He will be missed and remembered by many friends and loved ones.

He is gone beyond the cloudy portals of death, where the rainbow never fades and where the stars shine forever.

The surviving family heats voice -
"A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled."
