Pearl L. Beer

Pearl L. Beer, daughter of James and Iowa McCracken Rankin was born August 4, 1893, near Bonaparte, Iowa and departed this life on December 9, 1971 at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital where she entered just the day before. She had been in ill health for the past 2 years.

At an early age, she became a member of the Center Chapel United Methodist Church and continued to be a member until the time of her death.

On May 17, 1913, she was united in marriage to Willis Beer and to this union was born three sons and one daughter. Mrs. Beer's entire life was spent on a farm in the Keosauqua community where she was a faithful partner in the farming operation and always loved the out-of-doors.

She gave freely of her time and devotion and will be missed by all her loved ones.

Those left to mourn her passing are her husband, Willis of Keosauqua; her children, Keith of Strawberry Point, Iowa; Craig of Ames, Iowa; Stanley and Beryl Loeffler, both of Keosauqua; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Services were arranged by the Catcott Funeral Home at Center Chapel Church on Sunday, December 12, 1971, at 2:00 p.m.
