Charles Henry Davidson, 80, of 703 Adeline Road, died June 17, 2017, at Ridgewood Specialty Care Center in Ottumwa with his family by his side.

He was born January 17, 1937, in Ottumwa to Robert and Annie Dickerson Davidson. He married Cora Jessie Angstead on November 4, 1994.

A resident of Ottumwa most of his life, he was a farmer. He had worked for Harper Brush, Barker Wire and at the Van Buren County Courthouse.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ottu Wa. Surviving is his wife, Jessie; two daughters, Tammy (Andy) Davis of Keosauqua and Cindy (Dave) Hamburg of Cantril; four stepchildren, Jacque (Dennis) Lydolph of Stockport, Stacy (Monty) Unkrich of Fairfield, Dawn VanAntwerp of Le Claire and Matthew Giberson of Keokuk; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ann Slycord of Ottumwa and Virginia Enloe of Ottumwa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bubby and James Davidson.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017, at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
