Hi Joan, I don't know where you came up with Buchanan twp. on the 1860 mortality schedule. On Ancestry it's Dudian twp, Tama county but their is no Dudian twp. Look at it again I think it's supposed to be Indian Village twp, but it's cut off after the word "Dudian" The indexes are by township and county. Have you checked with the local area gene & historical societies for death data on Martha/M.E.? Dick
