Clayton L. Jacobson, 73 of Alcester, SD, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden, Iowa.

Memorial Service will be at noon, Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Akron, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until the service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be expressed to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com.

Clayton Luverne Jacobson was born on September 4, 1950 in Akron, Iowa to Darrel and Betty (Dunham) Jacobson. Clayton attended school in Westfield, IA. Clayton opened and operated Jacobson Auto Parts in Akron, Iowa for over 40 years before retiring in 2020.

Clayton was an active and adventurous person who liked to spend time outdoors. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and going snowmobiling. He also loved cars, especially classic cars; he enjoyed watching car races and racing himself. He liked to go fishing, hunting, boating, and bowling. He enjoyed camping and made many memories with his children camping in Okoboji. He also enjoyed golfing, making 3 holes-in-one! Clayton will be remembered as the life of the party; he always had a great sense of humor and was ready for a good time.

Clayton is survived by his children: Ritchie Rasmussen of Phoenix, AZ, Tracy (Travis) Jungen of Sioux Falls, SD, Angela (Don) Endres of Sioux Falls, SD, Clayton (Shuree) Jacobson of Sioux Falls, SD, and Sawyer (Taylor) Jacobson of Beresford, SD; grandchildren: Dylan, Radek, Macey, Summer, Sydnie, Tayvin, Taraina, Kegan, Hope, Logan, Gracie, Zach, Carson, Corbin, and Avacyn; 7 great grandchildren: three brothers: Garry (Cheryl) Jacobson of Akron, IA, Darcy (Diana) Jacobson of Portland, TN, and Russell (Julie) Jacobson of Akron, IA; many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

Clayton is preceded in death by his parents; and granddaughter, Eden.
