Military service: U. S. Army, from March 1960 until he was transferred to the U. S. Army Reserve in Sep, 1960. He served his country honorably until Dec. 1965.

Marriage: Arlene Buresh; Sep. 10, 1966; St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Council Bluffs, IA

Employment: Began farming after high school and continued to actively farm until 1994. In addition, he proudly took care of St. Mary's Parish from 1988 until his death, and took great pride in keeping the grounds well maintained and the hall and church in great order.
