Survived by: Nieces, Virgilene Koenig of Papillion, NE, Connie Wise of Avoca, IA, Karen Larson (spouse, Dave) of McClelland, IA, and Pat Calkins (spouse, Jim) of Cheyenne, WY; other family members and friends

Predeceased by: Parents, Carl and Elsie (nee Dollen) Kubelck; husband, Norman Woltmann; sister, Irene and her spouse, Virgil Turk; brother, Vern and his spouse, Maxine Kubelck

Education: Attended Shelby Consolidated School in Shelby, IA, and graduated from Shelby (IA) High School, Class of 1942. While in high school, she was a member of Girls Glee Club, mixed chorus group, played the saxophone in band, pep band, marching band and orchestra, and had parts in the Junior and Senior plays. Bernice continued her education in the business/clerical field at Burroughs Machine School in Omaha, NE.

Religious affiliation: Long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca, IA; she served as financial secretary as well as treasurer.

Marriage: Norman Woltmann; Nov. 10, 1945; St. John’s Lutheran Church, Des Moines, IA

Employment: Employed at Peterson Grocery as a clerk and cashier, and then as a teller at Citizen’s Savings Bank. In later years, she worked as a bookkeeper for Piitmann Seed Company and as an office manager for Lake Candlewood Apartments in Omaha, NE. She also spent many years working at Nelsen Mini Mart in Avoca, IA.

Hobbies/Interests: Loved music, particularly Big Band music; enjoyed dancing, bowling, and playing bridge
