Hobbies/Interests: Loved music; when younger, he was active in many Harlan Community Theatre productions; was a lover of nature and the outdoors, including gardening and farming, and raising Angus and Simmental cattle; he loved his dogs, riding his four-wheeler, and moving snow; he also treasured honest work of chopping wood, mowing his lawn, canning tomatoes and dill pickles, baking and cooking, growing sweetcorn, sitting on his front porch, and a decades-long tradition of annual vacations to Lake Okoboji with generations of family and friends.
