1930 Census – Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa (taken April 17, 1930) Leonard and Edna Tames;

December 3, 1931 – “Mrs. Bessie Custer and family of Anthon, Ray Belden and family of Marathon, Mrs. Edna Tames and baby of Sioux City and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Johnson of Laurens spent Thanksgiving Day at the E. E. Brewster home.” Source: Laurens Sun – Laurens, Iowa; December 3, 1931

ca. September 1933 - Donald conceived

Perhaps Edna and Gilbert Horst never married. No online family trees show a marriage. Mr. Tames may be the father of child #1.
