MUSCATINE-Neal Kleindolph passed away on July 19, 2021, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice in Bettendorf. Per his wishes, there will be no services.

Neal was born July 28, 1924, in Muscatine County, to Cleda and Charles Kleindolph, Jr. He married Betty Hain on August 20, 1947.

He started Neal's Vacuum Cleaner Sales and Service in 1951 which is now Neal's Vacuum and Sewing Center. Many Muscatine area residents may also remember Neal's as a toy store in the 1960's. He loved the Mississippi River where he spent many hours as he was growing up and, later in life, teaching his kids to water ski. He also loved fishing, playing cards and shooting pool.

Neal never met a stranger and took pleasure in lending a helping hand to any who were in need of one. He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He liked to buy and sell and could frequently be found haunting local area garage and yard sales.

He was a 50 year, 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Kaaba Shrine, Elks, Moose, and the Muscatine Power Boat Club.

Neal is survived by one son, Jerry Kleindolph and wife, Linda, two daughters, Sandy Weggen and husband, Jim, and Sue Hunt and husband, Jeff, all of Muscatine; five grandchildren, Andrew (Mel), Polly (Brad), Casey (Jessie), Betsy (Zach), and Benton (Michal); and three great grandchildren, Nealyn, Wilder, and Vaeda Hunt.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2014 and his parents.

Memorials may be made to the Muscatine Humane Society or Faith United Church in Muscatine. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online Condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com .
