Frederick A. Uhl was born October 28, 1885 and died September 29, 1968 at the nursing home in Mapleton having reached the age of 82 years, 11 months and one day.

He married Emma Hamman on September 14, 1908 at Mapleton and lived here all but for four years. He did custom threshing and corn shelling. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Rosary was held on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at the Walter Chapel with Rev. A. H. Ocken officiating.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sam (Ruby) Anderson of Mapleton; three sons, Melvin of Hornick and Leonard and Orville at Mapleton; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, five brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 1968, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father A. H. Ocken officiating. Interment was in the Parish Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ricky Voss, Ronald Uhl, Terry Uhl, Uhl Hayworth, Delmond Scheer and Wayne Ortner.
