Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Uhl, 91, longtime resident of the Danbury community, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury. The Rev. R. V. Sweeney will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Rosary will be recited at the Walter Funeral Home in Mapleton, Iowa, at 8 p.m. today.

Mrs. Uhl died Wednesday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Wimmer of Mapleton, Iowa, with whom she had resided the last five years. She was born June 19, 1875, at Mt. Carmel, Iowa, and came as a child to a farm in Ida County near Danbury. She was married to Xavier Uhl Feb 20, 1900, at Mapleton. They farmed near Danbury until retiring and moving into Danbury in 1942. Mr. Uhl died in 1961. Mrs. Uhl was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and of its Rosary Society.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Wimmer, Mrs. Cletus Richtermeier of Correctionville, and Mrs. George Schleis and Mrs. Al Schleis, both of Mapleton; four sons, Frank, Joseph, Raymond and John, all of Danbury; 19 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
