A. R. Cummings Funeral Tuesday

Services for Alfred R. Cummings, 68, of 709 Eighth St., will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dunn’s South Side Funeral Home, with burial at Winterset.

Mr. Cummings, a retired night watchman for the Lewis System, died Friday at Mercy Hospital after a heart attack. Born in Ashland, Neb., he lived in Winterset 10 years before moving to Des Moines nine years ago. He was a member of First Methodist Church.

Surviving are four sons, Kenneth, of Des Moines, Wayne of Concord, Cal., Alfred of Tucker, Ga., and Robert of San Angelo, Tex.; two sisters, Ellen Cummings and Mrs. Frances Collier, both of Silver Springs, Md., and nine grandchildren.
