OLIN - Funeral services for Mrs. John (Helen) Von Spreecken, 61, were held March 10 at the Olin Methodist church. The Rev. Robert G. Jones officiated. Burial was in Olin cemetery.

Mrs. Von Spreecken died March 8 at her home in Olin following a long illness. She was born Oct. 23, 1904 at Wyoming, the daughter of Elmer and Elizabeth Zak Johnson. She was married to John Von Spreecken, Jr. on April 5, 1922 at Davenport. They have lived in Olin the past 19 years.

She was a member of the Methodist church, Happy Hour club and "500" club.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Pence, Cedar Rapids; a son, Raymond, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; four grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Freeman, Olin.

A daughter, Bette Maie, preceded her in death in 1949.

Pallbearers were Thomas Eichhorn, Lester French, Claude Sears, Fred Hefflefinger, Howard Freeman and Gilbert Jones.
