GREER.

Patrick Greer, an old and well known resident of Iowa City, died at his home, 227 East Court street, last Saturday morning. Mr. Greer was born in County Antrim, Ireland, 71 years ago. On coming to this country as a young man he settled in eastern New York where he married. In 1855 he came to Iowa City where he has since resided. Mrs. Greer died 8 years ago. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Ida Fuller, residing at Watertown, N. Y., and four sons – F. C., E. B., A. M. and Irving, all of Iowa City and Johnson county. All were present at the funeral which was held from the Presbyterian church last Monday afternoon, Rev. Dr. Barrett officiating. Mr. Greer was ill only a week. The cause of death was lung fever.
