Further to the postings on this family of Schiernbeck. I was looking thru the newspaper listings posted by Marilyn on the main home page and found June 6, 1889 Pioneer an article stating "Mr and Mrs. Mess were called suddenly last Wed. by the death of their nephew in Crawford County by the bursting of a blood vessel in his heart." This article then followed by June 6, 1889 Pioneer
"We regret to announce the death and burial of Mater Henry Schievenbeck (sic) at the age of 4 years. He died Monday night at 10 pm. He was buried at the Nissen Cemetery, Wednesday May 29th." From research, I believe Morgan Cemetery and Nissen Cemetery are one and the same place. Then on the Morgan Township Cemetery list for Schleswig, Crawford County, I located W. Henry Schiernbeck, born 8/17/1885, died 3/27/1889 (believe this should be 5/27/1889)at Section 4 Lot 135 Space 3. His mother is possibly Emma born 10/28/1866 died 10/23/1897 and in Section 4, Lot 135, Space 2. Then I went to your Rootsweb site and found this boy with parents Wilhelm H. Schiernbeck and wife Emma Kock. The birth date, date of death and cause of death all seem to match up to the Pioneer newspaper articles. Could Wilhelm be brother to my GG Anna Christina Schiernbeck who married Henrich Mess then Peter Frank? Would love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks Gloria.
