It appears that Anna and Lillian Murphy married two brothers, John and Thomas J. Sweeney. I located obituaries for both John and Thomas as well as their wedding notices.

LIVERMORE— John Sweeney, 50, died at his home in Livermore last Thursday. He had been a sufferer from a number of ailments which had kept him bedfast during the last several months and his death was not unexpected. Mr. Sweeney was born at Humboldt, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Sweeney and spent all of his life in Humboldt county. He moved to Livermore a few years ago but was engaged in farming. He was married to Anna Murphy, who with five children survive him. They are Robert, Richard, Mary, Elizabeth and Billy....

Murphy—Sweeney
The marriage of Annie llene Murphy, daughter of John Murphy, and John Sweeney, son of O. J. Sweeney all of this neighborhood, took place in the Catholic church in Livermore last Monday morning, January 18, 1915, Father Costello officiating. The bride's sister Lillian and the groom's brother Charlie officiated as bridesmaid and groomsman, and their friends shortly after accompanied them to the M. & St. L. depot where they took the nine o'clock passenger for Des Moines for a short wedding trip. The young couple were both born and raised in Humboldt county, and the bride has been Mr. Murphy's efficient housekeeper for the past few years. She is quite popular among her acquaintances, young and old, and deservedly so. The groom has also been a faithful assistant on his father's farm, and he is to be congratulated on the prize he has won for a life partner. They are expected to return from their wedding trip this week, and will take up their abode for the present at the John Murphy home, as the groom has made arrangements to help carry on a part of the place the coming season. In time however, they will occupy the former Carlman house across the road, which Mr. Murphy purchased recently, and where their many friends will wish them all kinds of happiness and prosperity.

Murphy-Sweeney Wedding
The marriage of Miss Lillian Murphy and Mr. Thomas J. Sweeney took place last week at Sacred
Heart Catholic church in Livermore. They were attended at the ceremony by the groom's brother John and the bride's sister Mrs. Sweeney. Among those present from abroad were Miss Loretta Brennan of Fort Dodge, the bride's aunt. The bride is the well known young daughter of John Murphy, who was born and raised here and is very popular among the young people. She has been her father's home keeper for a number of years and will probably still make her home there for the present as the future arrangements of the young couple are somewhat unsettled. The groom is also a well known and popular young man who was raised in this vicinity. He is in the draft and expects to respond to his country's call within a short time, which is the cause, as stated above, of their future arrangements being left in an unsettled state. Their many friends extend the heartiest congratulations and well wishes for the future, and here's hoping our future young soldier may be as lucky in making captures when he faces the enemy as has been while mingling with his friends.
