Thomas Woodworth MacMillan was the son of Charles and Mary Woodworth MacMillan. One of 5 children in the family: Mary MacMillan Schaffner and brother George MacMillan died some years ago. Sister Sara MacKean of Jackson, WYOMING and brother Warren of Aurora still living.

MacMillan Family among the first to settle about Mt. Pleasant. His grandfather was a general officer in the War of 1812 and uncle Henry MacMillan was first city clerk of Mt. Pleasant.
