Salem Weekly News – May 11, 1922

Mary Frances Hunting, daughter of Horace B. and Malinda Hunting, was born September 23, 1861 near Salem in Henry County, Iowa where she attended school, passed the bright and cheerful year of her girlhood. Many happy friendships were formed never to be broken.

She was united in marriage to Robert Bruce Armer September 2, 1896. To this union came to brighten the home, Mrs. Margaret Anna Baldosier.

She departed this life May 1, 1922 near Salem, Iowa. She leaves to mourn her loss her devoted husband (who cared for her through nearly two years of sickness), her daughter, who also spent one year helping care for her mother; one grandson and one son-in-law, Mr. Simon Baldosier; one brother, Julius Hunting; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Livix of Ottumwa and Mrs. Miriam Bailey of Salem; one half-sister, Mrs. Lucy Hill of Beech, North Dakota, together with a host of relatives and friends who will miss her kindly welcome.

The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Bloomquist at Donaldson Chapel, Wed., at 10:30 AM. She was laid to rest in the east cemetery at Salem.
