Helen Allred
Helen M. Allred, 84, of Burlington, formerly of Wayland, died at 8:20 a.m.
Thursday, Feb. 20, 1997, at Burlington Medical Center Klein Unit.
Born June 12, 1912, in Biggsville, Ill., she was the daughter of Andrew and
Eva Messer Anderson. On Aug. 29, 1930, she married Arthur G. Allred in Rome,
Iowa. He died Oct. 20, 1974.
Mrs. Allred was a homemaker and a member of Jehovah's Witnesses of
Burlington.
Survivors include three sons, Edgar Allred and Theodore Allred, both of
Albuquerque, N.M., and Frank Allred of Mount Pleasant; three daughters, Rita
Yoder of Phoenix, Ariz., Juanita Evans of West Burlington and Marcia J.
Randall of Burlington; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; one sister,
Zelda Johnson of Maryland; and one brother, Jack Anderson of California.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and
one brother.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel. There will be no
family visitation.
The private family graveside service for Mrs. Allred will be at Greenwood
Cemetery of rural West Burlington, with Mr. Alan Pygott officiating. Burial
will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to Kingdom Hall.
