JOHN EGLI IS DEAD

Former Iowa Man Passed Away at his Home in Hubbard Oregon

Relatives here received a message Saturday morning conveying the sad news of the death of John Egli which occurred a few hours before at his home near Hubbard Oregon. The particulars of Mr. Egli’s death and illness are not known here at this time, but we hope to have information in detail in a few days.

Mr. Egli and his family were formerly residents of this community for many years residing on a farm south of Wayland, and they will be kindly remembered by many Wayland people.

About 28 years ago, the family moved to Oregon for the benefit of Mr. Egli’s health and friends here have been advised that the change in climate seemed to agree with him and that he was much better.

Numerous relatives and many friends will hear of Mr. Egli’s death with deep regret and will extend to the bereaved family deep and sincere sympathy.
