FUNERAL HELD FOR MRS. ELIZA PALMER

Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Palmer were conducted at the Crane Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant at three o'clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. Owen W. Wilson, pastor of the First Presbyterian church was in charge of the services. Mrs. Dan Winter played softly at the organ.

The pallbearers were: Baron Crane, Been Seeley, Joe McMillan, John Budde, Eugene McCoid and F.M. Edwards. Interment was in Forest Home cemetery.

Mrs. Eliza W. Palmer, daughter of John and Martha Wallbank, was born in Leeds, England, on May 23, 1867. She came to this vicinity with her parents when a small child and had resided here most of her life. She passed away June 9, 1949.

She was married in 1892 to Charles F. Palmer, who preceded her in death in 1903. A daughter Louise and two sisters, Sophia E and Nellie B. Wallbank, also preceded her in death.

Her survivors are a son, A.B. Palmer of Houston, Texas; daughters, Margaret Rhodes of Bluffton, Indiana and Elizabeth Dickey of Ottumwa; two brothers, J.W. and J.A. Wallbank and a sister, Mrs. Anna W. McGavic of Mt. Pleasant and five grandchildren.
