Funeral Held for Mrs. Underhill

Funeral services for Mrs. Flora Underhill was held from the Baptist church Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Stanley Andersen in charge. Mrs. Will McClaran and Mrs. S.B. Niles sang. Interment was in Forest Home cemetery.

Pallbearers were William Crane, Frank Edward, Frank Goddard, Cliff Iseral of Fairfield, Merton Wright, Verne Wright.

Flora Bell Underhill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Willey, was born in Henry County, Ia., August 21, 1878, and passed away at her home on South White street, Sunday morning, October 26, at the age of 69 years, 2 months and 5 days.

She was united in marriage with Charles Elisha Underhill, Sept. 29, 1897. Most of their married life was spent in Henry County. To this happy union were born two daughters, Wilda Rukgaber and Edna Wright of Mt. Pleasant.

Mr. Underhill preceded her in death in 1933.

She leaves to mourn her departure 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grand children, the following brothers and sisters: John Willey, of Great Falls, Montana; Harlen Willey of Corydon; Rose Rainforth, May Sedgwick, Helen Erickson, Golda Philben, all of Fort Steilscoom, Washington; and Mrs. Susie Dougherty of Fairfield; and a host of nieces and nephews. One brother preceded her in death.

She joined the Christian faith when a young girl and became affiliated with the First Baptist church since moving into the community in 1919.
