The Man. The Myth. The Legend Biker Bill. According to the man himself, he was 215 pounds of mean steel and sex appeal. William John Neinas was born August 13, 1956, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He died on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa following a motorcycle accident near his home.

He started his school career at Saint Patrick’s and then attended Saint Bernard’s High School in St. Paul, graduating from Holmen High School in Holmen, Wisconsin. Willie joined the United States Marine Corps in 1974, serving his country for four years. On August 13, 1979, he married Georgia Judd and raised three children, Bailey, Bethany, and Zeb. The marriage later ended in divorce. On October 11, 2012, he married Shelli Moody in Leon, Iowa and welcomed stepdaughter Ashley.

Willie was a motorcycle mechanic most of his life. He loved fast motorcycles, top shelf whisky, and beautiful women who didn’t know his name. Not necessarily in that order.

He is survived by his best friend of 17 years and wife of nearly five, Shelli Neinas, of Garden Grove, Iowa; daughters, Bailey Neinas and husband, Dan White, and Bethany Neinas-Gerrish and husband, Josh; son, Zeb Neinas and girlfriend, Amanda Villagomez; stepdaughter, Ashley Dale; eight grandchildren, Jaden and Trey Toney, Bella Boyce, Dahlilah Neinas, Ayden Coverdell, Zack, Brianne, and Emma Gerrish; brothers, Ralph Neinas, Joe and Kerri Neinas, and Louie Neinas; sisters, Patty and Dave Ronning, Theresa Neinas, Barb and Joe Janisch, and Joan Neinas; 16 nieces and nephews; and many extended family. Willie was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Edward “Pete” and Elizabeth “Betty” Theresa (Strom) Neinas and sister-in-law, Michelle Neinas.

The family is respectfully requesting donations towards the funeral costs in lieu of flowers be given to Bethany Neinas-Gerrish.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 23, Garden Grove Cemetery.
