Charlotte June Miller, age 72, of Chariton, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence Edward and Betty June (Marrs) Starmer, was born in Maryville, Missouri on January 1, 1945. She died on December 5, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Charlotte grew up and attended school in Maryville. She married Ray LeRoy Miller, Sr. on January 30, 1960. They were blessed with three children, Joyce, Rhonda, and Ray, Jr. The family lived in Des Moines, Iowa as Ray worked all over the state of Iowa as an exterior home contractor installing siding and windows. They later lived in Florida from 1982, until 1994, before returning to Iowa, settling in Chariton.

Charlotte enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and had been attending First United Methodist in Chariton. She was a Sunday morning greeter and enjoyed helping out in other ways. She recently was able to do some traveling and enjoy herself.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Ray, Sr. on October 8, 2013; sister, Ally Starmer; and two stepsons, Gene and Roland Miller.

Survivors include her children, Joyce Felles of Chariton, Rhonda Fronheiser and husband, Harry, of Daytona Beach, Florida, and Ray Miller, Jr. and wife, Joanne, of Port Orange, Florida; nine grandchildren, Brandon Moore, Joey Hickcox, Kristy Cooper, Daniel Hickcox, Nick Miller, Kelsi Miller, Jerome Miller, Jason Miller, Joshua Miller; two great granddaughters, Kimberly and Emma Hickcox; brother, Jack Starmer and wife, Sharon, of Kingsland, Georgia; mother-in-law, Nora Miller of Des Moines; many nieces and nephews; her dog, Gidget; and other beloved relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Slade – O’Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017, with Rev. David Hobbs officiating. Burial will be in the Leon Cemetery, Leon, Iowa.

A memorial fund has been established by the Family.
