Mrs. Johannah Muhs died at her home on Saturday at 10 o'clock from a long illness, aged about 62 years. She was born in Germany in 1835 and there married William Mirow, who died, leaving her with nine children. She came to Davenport in 1880 and was married to J. Muhs in 1885, who died in 1890. She with two daughters removed to DeWitt in 1894, where she resided until her death. The sermon was preached on Monday at one o'clock by Rev. Mr. Broecker, Lutheran pastor of Grand Mound, with interment at the Grand Mound cemetery.
