Lee M. Krouth, 59, a lifelong resident of the West Branch area, died Sept. 1 at University hospital in Iowa City of injuries he received in an accident at the home of his brother in Cedar Bluff Aug. 31.

Services were Sept. 4 in West Branch with the Rev. Roger Tappmeyer of the West Branch Methodist church officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Krouth received head injuries from a falling tree limb at the home of his brother, Phillip, Tuesday afternoon.

He was born April 26, 1906, in Cedar county, the son of Joseph W. and Emily Moore Krouth. He farmed in the West Branch area all his adult life.

He was a member of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are his brother; 3 sisters, Mrs. Irene Clausen, Silver Springs, Md., Mrs. Helen Weymiller, New Albin, and Mrs. Ruth Foraker, Iowa City; and his mother of rural West Branch.
