Funeral services for John Phillip Laubscher, 82, were held Sept. 5 at the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating.

Pallbearers were William Koch, Sam Boyd, Carl Frederick, Russell Anderson, Ralph Stout and Walter Rismiller. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist and Mrs. Gale Maurer and Mrs. Russell Anderson were in charge of flowers. Burial was in Woodbridge cemetery at Buchanan.

Mr. Laubscher died Sept. 2 at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Raids, following a lingering illness.

The son of Charles and Forrestine Dodds Laubscher, he was born at Buchanan Jan. 24, 1883, and was educated in the rural schools of that area. He was married to Pearl Edwards at Tipton in September, 1902, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Laubscher spent his entire life on the same farm near Buchanan and was, for more than 40 years, a prominent cattle feeder. He was a member of the old Union church of Buchanan.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Eloise Laubscher, Joliet, Ill., and Marjorie Laubscher, Waterloo, and several cousins.
