Funeral services for Mrs. Magdalene (Maud) Teresa Fankhauser, 81, were held July 17 at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home in Tipton, with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery at Cedar Bluff.

Pallbearers were Robert and William Suchomel, Robert Turner, Dale Ehresman, Roger Stahle Sr. and Don Marion. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist and Mrs. Dale Ehresman and Mrs. Ernest Gaul were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Fankhauser died July 15 at the Woode nursing home following a lingering illness.

The daughter of John and Sophronia Kintz Stahle she was born Aug. 4, 1883 in Solon and attended the rural Johnson county schools. She was married to Abner L. Fankhauser in Tipton Feb. 23, 1911. They farmed near Cedar Bluff and Tipton. He died in 1930.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth, Tipton; 2 brothers, Marvin and Raymond Stahle, Solon; a sister, Mrs. Adam (Alma) Rohert, Maywood, Ill., 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
