Funeral services for Mrs. George (Frances) Rekemeyer, 76, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, at Peace United Church of Christ in Bennett. The Rev. Robert Ahrendt will officiate. Sheets and Son are in charge.

Pallbearers will be Harlan and Harry Rekemeyer, Elmer Horman, Norman Burmeister, Elmer Geadelmann and Roger Beuthien. Mr. and Mrs. Enrest Riedesel Jr., will be vocalists. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Schneider, Mrs. Wilbert Wiebke and Mrs. Carson Moffit are in charge of flowers. Burial will be in Inland cemetery near Bennett.

The family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund or Peace United Church of Christ, Bennett.

Mrs. Rekemeyer died July 24 at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids. Her death followed a heart attack in her home in Tipton the evening of July 23.

The daughter of Matthew and Frances Bodis Beuthien, she was born near Wheatland in Cedar county Oct. 5, 1888, and was educated in the rural schools of Cedar county. She was married to George Rekemeyer, Sr., in Tipton Feb. 10, 1909.

They farmed near Bennett for many years, retiring in 1948, when they moved to Tipton.

She is survived by her husband, a son, George Rekemeyer, Jr., Bennett; 2 daughters, Mrs. Walter (Alma) Conrad, Clarence and Bernice, at home; 2 brothers, Edward, Wheatland and John, Dixon and a sister, Mrs. August (Ella) Horman, Tipton, 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
