After her conversion she became affiliated with the Friends church in Iowa.

About five years ago the family came to North Dakota and Mrs. Briggs allied herself immediately with the Methodist church of this city. She was very much interested in church activities and those things which pertain to church life.

She was a good wife and a kind and loving mother, and also a consistent Christian. Three sisters and a husband and four children are left to mourn her loss.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon. Short services were held at the house at 2 o'clock and the funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Shingler in the Methodist church at 3 o'clock.

A large number of friends gathered to pay their last tribute of respect to the departed. The remains were interred in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
