3 September 1914 - West Branch Times

Angel of Death Robs Young Man of His Bride of Four Months.

Sunday morning at nine o'clock, after but a weeks illness of that dreadful disease, diphtheria, occurred the death of Mrs. A. J. Crock of West Branch.

She leaves to mourn their loss a kind and loving husband, a heart broken mother, Mrs. Thos. Wall; two sisters, Margaret and Marie; and eight brothers James, Thomas, Jerry, Walter, Edward, Joseph, Leo and Raymond of Lisbon.

Surrounded by her mother and husband, fortified by the last rites of the Catholic church, and while mass was being offered up, her soul took it's happy flight to eternity, there to meet her father who was called there a few years previous.

The law not permitting a public funeral, her relatives, sisters and brothers met with the cortege at St. Bridget's cemetery at Nolan settlement and placed her body there to await the resurrection morn.

She was a loving sister, a true wife, a loyal daughter and a kind friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

May her soul rest in peace.
