Funeral services for Frank Thomson of Mechanicsville, were held Oct. 21 in the Presbyterian church with Pastor George Gallaher, formerly of Mechanicsville, officiating. Mrs. Leroy Wendt was soloist.

H. C. Rinehart, Floyd Siver, James High, Raymond Puffer, Donald Overbaugh and Donald Robinson were pallbearers. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery.

Mr. Thomson died Oct. 18 at the Hallmark Nursing home, Mt. Vernon, following an illness of several months.

Frank Marion Thomson was born Jan. 1, 1884, at Stanwood, the son of William F. and Catherine Thomson. He was married Aug. 15, 1906 to Nellie Edna Robinson at Clarence. She preceded him in death Oct. 17, 1955.

Mr. Thomson, a lifetime Cedar county farmer, was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Patmos Masonic lodge, the Lions club and the Cedar Rapids Consistory.

Survivors include 7 children: Charlene Reid, Hot Springs, Ark.; Donald Thomson, Mt. Vernon; Dale Thomson, Clarence; Jean Griffith, Cedar Rapids; Murl Thomson, Mt. Vernon; Franics Thomson, Mechanicsville and Lorraine Webber, St. Joseph, Mich. and 2 sisters, Elizabeth Strieby, Clinton, Mo. and Ruth McQuade, Durham, N.H. and a brother, Lawrence Thomson, Phoeniz, Ariz.
