Funeral services for Mrs. Cecil (Norma L.) Mathias, 66, were held at First United Church of Christ Dec. 18 with the Rev. Paul Knupp and the Rev. Clifford Rogers officiating. Burial was in Red Oak Grove cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Wethington, James Moore, Harold Hass, Jerald Nebergall, Max Phelps and John Lamp.

Nancy Hipple was vocalist and Betty Vitense was organist. LaVaughn Eaton, Virginia King and Verna Kimberling were in charge of flowers. Rebekah lodge services were held Dec. 17.

Mrs. Mathias died at Cedar Manor Dec. 15.

The daughter of Ernest and Ellen Olson Woode, she was born near Tipton July 28, 1918. She graduated from Tipton high school in 1937. She was married to Cecil P. Mathias at Davenport Oct. 5, 1939.

She spent her life in the Tipton community and was a member of Mt. Zion Guild and the Rebekah lodge.

She is survived by her husband; 3 sons, Ronald, Eldridge, Larry, St. Charles, Ill. and Randy, Tipton; 7 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Alfred (Darlene) Worrell, West Branch and 5 brothers, Walter Woode, Suisun City, Calif.; Harold Woode, Iowa City; Forrest Woode, Clarence and Wilbur, Mearl and Stan Woode, all of Tipton. She was preceded in death by a sister.
