Death of H. C. Mahnken. - Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Milton Rowser in Red Oak occurred the death of her father H. C. Mahnken. Four weeks ago Mr. Mahnken underwent an operation on account of gangrenous condition of the foot. It was a success and the foot had healed nicely and the patient was apparently on the road to recovery. Tuesday evening he ate supper with the family and only a short time later was dead. Death was due to neuralgia of the heart. Mr. Mahnken was 76 years of age. The body has been taken to the former home of the deceased at Alzada, Wyoming for burial, Mr. and Mrs. Rowser both accompanied the remains as far as Omaha, Mrs. Rowser continuing from that point and Mr. Rowser returning home.
