I am the youngest daughter of Morris F Goecke and Evelyn A. Schulte Goecke. My father died on May 20, 1965. He is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetary, in Carroll, Iowa.

The Furniture Store was opened in about 1945. I was born in May of 1946 and I know that my father was commuting from Carroll, Iowa, to Coon Rapids, Iowa, at that time.

My father and Mr Heithoff started the store together. At some point in time when I was in grade school Mr Heithoff wanted to go back to Carroll and start his own store. My father bought out his share and continued to be the sole proprietor until he closed the store in about 1963.
