Barthold Spiess, 1838-1896 and wife Anna Margaretha Wiese lived in Pomeroy, Calhoun, Iowa and are buried in the Pomeroy Cemetary. They arrived in the US on March 16, 1881. I am trying to find where in Germany they came from.

Would anyone know where I can get obituary or naturalization papers that may show this information?
