Hi - my name is Higgs, Layne and I am related to the Spiess Family thru Holtorf, Claus and Spiess, Catherne - the parents of my gtandfather;s mother - who was Holtorf. Alvina - who married Butson, William. I do alot of genealogy and may have some information that you might be interested in. Also, I would be interested in any family photos - and would be willing to share whatever photos and infor I may have concerning the Holtorf and Spiess Families.
