Nadine Cochran

Nadine Cochran, 77, of 1323 Avenue D, Fort Madison, died at 12:47 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 1988, at the Fort Madison Community Hospital.

Born Nov. 30, 1910, near Mount Sterling, she was the daughter of Harry and Prudence Jane Stansbury Cochran.

She had lived in Fort Madison since 1929. She was employed by W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co., retiring in 1972 with 44 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Fort Madison Senior Citizens.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

The service for Miss Cochran will be 6 p.m. today at Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, with the Rev. Joseph W. Lloyd officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the chapel. The body will be cremated following the service. Burial will be in Blackledge Cemetery, near Mount Sterling.

A memorial has been established for the Iowa Heart Association. Contributions may be left at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
