OBITUARY

Mrs. Knute Toft

Mrs. Knute Toft was born in Norway April 25, 1886, and died in Story City, Iowa, Good Friday, April 15, 1927, at the age of 41 years, lacking ten days.

Her maiden name was Johanna Malane Eide, being a daughter of Mons Eide. She was married in Norway, Nov. 19, 1912, and came immediately to America with her husband and they have lived in Story City ever since. Her husband and four children survive to mourn a faithful wife and loving mother, and she will be missed by a large circle of friends who had come to esteem her highly.

The children are Bergit, Jorgen, Morris and Myrtle.

Mrs. Toft was taken sick about nine weeks before her death, and was treated at the local hospital, where expert medical attention and kind hands did all that could be done for her. Her last words were "I am going home to Jesus."

A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.
God, in His wisdom, has recalled
The boon His love had given,
And the body slumbers here,
The soul is safe in heaven.
